Arjun Srinivasan, MD
Dr. Arjun Srinivasan is Associate Director of Healthcare-Associated Infection Prevention Programs in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. He has worked on Antibiotic Stewardship since 2001, He is the founder of the Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
Jose Alexander (Alex), MD, ABMM, ABAIM, FCCM, CIC, ASCP, BCMAS
Dr. Jose Alexander is the Clinical Director of microbiology laboratory at Advent health in Orlando. He obtained his medical degree in the Central University of Venezuela and specialized in medical microbiology. His role involves the technical oversight of the microbiology lab, providing consultation for ID physicians and pharmacists regarding test interpretation, antimicrobial resistance and testing, and is a member of the infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship committees.
Luis Plaza, M.S., MLS(ASCP)
Luis Plaza is a lead medical laboratory scientist in microbiology at a hospital system in Orlando, Florida. Plaza received his bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science at the University of Central Florida. He recently received his M.S. in microbiology at the University of Florida..He is also the microbiology laboratory instructor for the Medical Laboratory Sciences program at the University of Central Florida and the creator and host of the “Let’s Talk Micro” podcast.
