Kate Kyler, MD, MSc, FAAP
Dr. Kate Kyler is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of hospital medicine and a current fellow in the division of clinical pharmacology, toxicology, and therapeutic innovation at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Her research interests center on improving pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic information to inform precision dosing strategies for children with obesity. She earned her MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completed her pediatric residency training at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, and a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. She also has earned a masters in bioinformatics and clinical research from the University of Kansas City.
Amit Pai, PharmD
Dr. Amit Pai is a professor and chair of clinical pharmacy and deputy director of pharmacokinetics core laboratory at the University of Michigan. His research focus is optimal drug dosing in special populations including obesity and altered renal function. He earned his PharmD from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, TX, completed a pharmacy residency in Bassett Health Care in Cooperstown NY, and an infectious diseases pharmacokinetic fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago
