Julie Ann Justo, PharmD, MS, FIDSA, BCPS
Dr. Julie Ann Justo is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and outcome science at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She also maintains a practice site in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship at Prisma Health Richland and runs the PGY2 ID Fellowship program at USC. Dr. Justo received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2009. She completed a one-year pharmacy practice residency in 2010 and a three-year infectious diseases pharmacotherapy fellowship in 2013 at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. She also received a master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science from the UIC School of Public Health. Her research interests include the clinical impact of antimicrobial stewardship programs, gram-negative infections, and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling.
Rachel Britt, PharmD, BCIDP
Dr. Rachel Britt is pharmacy clinical practice specialist in infectious diseases at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She also recently finished her term as chair of the Publications and Podcast Committee. Dr. Britt obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 2017. From there she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Her practice interests include antimicrobial stewardship, gram-negative resistance, precepting, and mentorship.
Jillian Hayes, PharmD, BCIDP
Dr. Jillian Hayes is an infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship clinical pharmacist at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. She is also coming on to her term as chair of the Publications and Podcasts Committee. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina and then completed her PGY1 and PGY2 ID pharmacy residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Her interests include antimicrobial stewardship in transitions of care, resident wellness and mentoring, and preventing the prescribing of cefdinir whenever possible.
