Kayla Stover, PharmD, BCPS-ID
Kayla Stover is a professor at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy where she specializes in antifungal pharmacotherapy and antimicrobial stewardship. She serves as the infectious diseases PGY-2 residency program directory and was recently selected as an author for the IDSA guidelines on the treatment of Histoplasmosis. She graduated from Ohio Northern University where she received her doctorates in pharmacy, then proceeded to complete a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at West Virginia University followed by a PGY-2 residency in infectious diseases pharmacy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Nathan Wiederhold, PharmD
Nathan Wiederhold is a professor at UT Health in San Antonio, TX where he serves as the director of the fungus testing laboratory there. He is a pharmacist that specializes in microbiology and has served as a voting member on the CLSI antifungal susceptibility subcommittee since 2015. His research focuses on trends and antifungal resistance, new mechanisms of drug resistance in fungi, and the evaluation of novel agents under development for the treatment of invasive fungal infections. He received his doctorates of pharmacy degree at the University of Texas at Austin, then went on to complete a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY-2 infectious diseases residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Afterwards, he completed a postdoctoral medical mycology research fellowship at the University of Houston and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
