Kate DeSear, PharmD, BCIDP, FIDSA
Dr. Kate DeSear is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacy specialist at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. Following pharmacy school, she completed her pharmacy practice residency at Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Hospital and a specialty residency in infectious diseases at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital. Currently she is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Education and Practice in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and serves as the residency program director of the Infectious Diseases PGY-2 residency at her clinical practice site. Her areas of interest include antimicrobial stewardship, novel stewardship measures relating antimicrobial use to clinical and process outcomes, and gram negative resistance.
Frank Tverdek, PharmD, BCPS AQ-ID, CMQ
Dr. Frank Tverdek is an infectious diseases pharmacist at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. He received his PharmD from Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Following pharmacy school, he completed his PGY1 Pharmacy residency at Rush University Medical Center and PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at Midwestern University.
