Drs. Amy Mathers and Julie Ann Justo join Dr. Erin McCreary to talk all things Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, a water-loving organism and frequent colonizer. Hear from the experts on why this organism is so difficult to treat, which agents have in vitro activity, and how to optimize antimicrobial regimens, including the use of combination therapy, in the setting of true infections.
