Ryan Shields, PharmD, MS
Dr. Ryan Shields is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Antibiotic Management Program at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Shields completed his pharmacy practice residency at Saint Louis University Hospital followed by infectious diseases pharmacy residency at the University of Pittsburgh. His research and clinical interests include antimicrobial drug resistance, especially in gram-negative bacteria and yeast.
David van Duin, MD, PhD, FIDSA, FAST
Dr. David van Duin is an infectious diseases specialist and an associate professor at the University of North Carolina. He completed his fellowship and PhD at Yale University. His research interests lie in both immunocompromised patients and gram-negative antimicrobial resistance. He also leads the Multi-Drug Resistant Organism Network of the Antibacterial Resistance Leadership Group.
